My First Time!!

After our trip "home" to North Fambridge a few weeks ago, our first bimble up the river last weekend was to test the s/bd engine after fitting a new thermostat.....
My first wake shot! 20knts and all t&p's are spot on /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After getting a bit lumpy out by S.Whittikar we turned and headed back in through some big rain showers (or was that a wave over the bow?), wipers on full chat at this point!!

eek! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Back to the marina and had a bit of a job with the berthing, strong wind blowing us off the finger, ended up nudging up against next door and pulling across against the ropes! Can't wait for the new anchor windlass to turn up, so we can go out somewhere and the spend some time bobbing about at anchor for a few hours! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
A happy SWMBO too, she's logged her first 2 hours as skipper! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I had to go outside to secure a loose canopy window, took about 30 secs, but needed a dry t-shirt when finished. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Broke out the oily's after that!

Camera says 16/06/2007 13.58.......was when the blue sky happened! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif the next shot was 14.19, that was when the v.grey sky happened! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hope you're enjoying it.....I remember the photo's and looks a real nice boat!

She needed/needs a fair bit of TLC/cleaning to bring her up to scratch. A lot of the problems found during sea trial/survey have been resolved and were due mainly to dodgy coroded wiring. But with a meter and some patience, I'm slowly working through them.
Next job though is the sea-talk network /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The tent at the back is coming off tommorow for cleaning and then it's going off to have all its seams re-stiched. And we've got a man coming to look at a stress crack at the base of one of the davitts soon too.
For once the list is getting shorter rather than longer

At the end of the day...having a boat is a labour of love! there's always something to do / fix / clean / install!

1. Because it's always eating the cash!
2. Because it eats all your time!
