My first boat...

Just wanted to show you my new pride and joy, "Bruno":

It is a "Pirat", a german one-design dinghy, made in 1960 of mahagony. SWMBO and saw it this spring, and SWMBO insisted that we buy it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
And no, I don't ask "where is it", as nobody will know...

The biggest centre for Pirats is the Havel Berlin,used to sail them from BBYC.Lovely boats.

Thanks, and I am already getting the varnish ready - but she is in very good order, having been restaurated the last two winters by the previous owner, whose wife decided she wants something bigger when it was complete.
The Pirats sail lovely indeed... will be out this afternoon....
And BTW, it is on the river Mosel, close to Trier...
