Was Enroute Fowey two weeks ago, when JABSCO toilet busted, (For third time in three seasons..The little flipper switch valve flapper thingy... peice of c****) with 4 on board thought it would be a good thing to sort out as rapidly as possible, and having NOT had the previous broken pump assembly fixed as I had promised to do in the off, called up Mount Batten Boat House in Plymouth, who put a new pump assembly onto a courier, delivered it to Fowey Harbour office (On a Saturday BTW) who when we rolled into the harbour at around 4pm delivered it on board NO CHARGE, with a big smile, 30 seconds after picking up a mooring.

So Toilet busted at sea in AM, new part delivered within 6 hours direct to boat on arrival.

Total cost, £50 for the pump, £50 for the courier. A small price to pay.

Thanks to MBBH and Fowey Harbour. Much Relief all around. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Marinestore did much the same for me -toilet broke half way up the wallet from Mersea, so I rang Mersea shop and they arranged for the Titchmarsh based branch to put the spares outside harbourmasters office and I picked up from there well after closing time.....paid when I went back to Mersea

funny you should mention that,my mate just had a new pump
sent out and it came with the same bit already broken, went to a local engineer and they are making 3 out of bronze for little cost, the other 2 are to fit in the other broken pumps he has onboard .a very common fault i think.
