Today at 9.30am I handed over the keys of my Vega to the new owner. Please note if you are a mobo owner in the Irish sea area it is NOT me who will be making rude gestures towards you. I had a very embarassing day showing him the ropes yesterday and every mobo was shouted at by him as they passed us by ( with great consideration i might add) so instead of a friendly wave you will now receive abuse from an idiiot. sorry rant over.

You can control who you sell your boat to, unless you are very rich or stupid. Everyone's money is the same.

We sold our boat to a very odd family with no experance who had great plans. There was no trust at all, how could we prove it was ours to sell (part 1 reg expired SSR and bill of sales.

On the other side sailing is and sould remain unregulated so any person can own a boat.

I don't really see how you can complain about them not trusting you. Everything you read about buying a boat warns you not to trust the vendor! Good on them for being careful I'd say.
