Hi i have been trying to post details of my trintella 29 for sale on the website suggested(my boat details ) but cant get into it.
any sujestions?

Hadn't come across this site before, but as we're in the market for a new boat I wanted to have a look through but when I try a search all I get is 'couldn't execute temp table query' /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'd be wary of paying money to list my boat there. The website doesn't seem to work, apart from the bit that tells you how much money they want! Before you take the plunge, why not phone a few of the people already listing their boats and ask them whether they've had any response from their ads on the site?

We used the site 2 years ago - sold within 4 months.

They had a deal going with Sailing Today at the time - list on myboatdetails & get a 3 month free ad in Sailing Today. Also took an ad in YM which generated a lot of interest. But eventual buyer had seen our boat on myboatdetails.

Had the boat also listed on Apollo and Boats and Outboards (free sites) - these generated not a single lead.
Boats & Outboards are more bargain basement hunters than anything else. Last year listed a brandnew Vetus electrical windlass on there for less than half price. Had just 2 silly offers - £250 & £300 (new price over £1K).

boatsandoutboards.

I've had very good responses when selling through boatsandoutboards.

Over the years I've sold two boats, both for over £15000.

Last year, I even sold our 3 bedroomed house using the same website. There was a touch of irony here, in that I also paid some serious money to advertise on a property website, plus I ran an advert in the local press for a few weeks. It was the free advert on boatsand outboards, however, that found the buyer.

So I don't agree with your 'bargain basement' theory!
