I got MX Mariner for my Nexus 10 tablet recently, along with UKHO region 3. I like it. It's as easy to use as Memory Map and significantly cheaper; not so much chart area covered, but plenty for me. It can be persuaded to work with Antares charts too.

I have one problem with it and wonder if anyone has a solution. At several places, the material at the border of a chart shows over the information on the adjacent chart. In most cases, this is unimportant but one example I've encountered conceals useful detail. It's at 56°39'N, 5°18'W, Cuil Bay in Loch Linnhe. The problem is apparent at zoom levels when the scale bar is 0.9NM long or shorter.

I tried emailing the developer a couple of weeks ago but I haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else found this problem? More important, any solutions?

Thanks,
Derek

I emailed the developer on some poor tiling on the Clyde. He sent an email back that day saying he would fix it at the next chart update. He followed that email up a few weeks later to say that it had been amended and the new chart was ready for download. May be worth sending another note?

Can you confirm the email address is manimaul AT gmail.com ? That's the only address I could find in the Google store.

Thanks,
Derek

Derek, just checked and yes that was the one he responded to (I got it from the mxmariner splash screen.) I also see his first response was minutes after I sent the query; I was very impressed at the time.

Yes it is an issue. I hope he can fix the chart integration in one hit - rather than users having to have each "problem" area resolved. I've got 2 or 3 that would benefit from attention already. On the whole I think it represents great value for money and would put up with the inconvenience of having to scroll across and in for the detail required - still easier than getting the paper chart unfolded etc!
