MX Mariner app

I am finding it hard to use this navigation app. I note yachting world found it difficult .I have seen the manual on line but it does not help much. I find the "extra buttons" on the left of the screen just disappear without reason. Can anyone advise or help thanks in advance

The Zoom buttons are switched on/off from the Menu/Settings/View.

The Waypoints/Routes/Track buttons (they appear bottom right on my version) are toggled by the button with a circle and small triangle, which is always in the bottom right corner.

Does that deal with your problem?

The problem I have with it is getting it to show a detailed chart; often parts of the screen are showing a very small scale chart. Zooming in usually gets it to behave.

Thanks derek. I have the circle and the small traingle but it seems to disappear randomly.
i want to use the dividers icon to get a distance to and bearing but I get either a blue or green bearing line which continues to move around rather than just give a single line

NB Not a very experienced user alert:

I think a tap on the screen can make the circle/triangle button reappear.

To use the dividers, first put the start of the bearing line at the centre of the screen, then press the dividers (this moves the screen a bit so you can see a bearing line) then move the screen view to get the end of the line you want at the centre of the screen. Note range/bearing then press dividers again to remove bearing line.

Also if you put a way point in, then activate it, it will continuously give you distance/bearing to that waypoint. I use that quite a lot. MX Mariner is my preferred app. I've got Navionics as well.
