Okay folks, I spoke to Sue Riggs at Crest Nicholson Marinas today and she has asked that everyone who sent an email please RESEND to their Managing Director as they lost them!

The Managing Director's name is Mr. Simon Haigh and his email address is shaigh@crestnicholson.com

it will only take a couple of minutes but they have now told the family involved that their decision to evict is final. They have refused the mooring fees and told them to get out!

PLEASE RESEND YOUR EMAIL

Hi, message sent, also suggest you let the local newspapers know, they love a good people hard done by story, also the local TV and Radio - and Watchdog

Then tell their MD you've done this, he might then listen after reading all the email he's going to get from YBW.

Good luck

Peter

Re: What are Email Add. for local papers?

Does anyone know Email addresses for the local and national papers? If we all message them as well it will put more pressure on the marina. When are they going to be evicted? Should a protest rally be held at the appropriate date? Lets get the right result here.

The Facts

Name: MV Picton

LOA: 50'

Built: 1964 by JN Miller & Sons, St. Monans, Fife, Scotland

Construction: Carvel construction, 2" larch on 4x4" oak frames

Weight: Approx 33 Tonnes

Believed to have been commissioned to order circa 1964 by Milford Haven Conservancy Board, operating as a multi-use vessel. Suggestions so far include light ship, mail post carrier, possibly even used as Harbour Master's launch. Believed to have been decommissioned circa 1978 -1980 and subsequently laid up afloat in the port of Barry S. Wales, having been entirely stripped-out before the Shalom's purchased her in 1989.

Presnt Owners: Vince & Marie Shalom

The Family: Five daughters aged between 1 and ten years, three of whom are in full time education.

The situation, as described by Vince & Mary Shalom:

Crest Nicholson set an arbitrary deadline of 31 March 2002 for completion of works on the boat. Even prior to this date they have decided to evict the family and their boat from Penarth Marina.

The entire matter has been well documented, to the point wher Crest Nicholson feel it is no longer in their best interests to have their local manager (Gareth Stevens) delaing with the matter. The entire issue now seems to be headed by Simon Haigh, the Managing Director of Crest Nicholson's Marina Operations.

Sounds to me that if the local managers are so inept at storing e-mails then they're probably pretty inept at dealing with other issues properly too. Anyway, re-sent e-mail and await MD's response on this forum mebbe?
