You might just change your mind when you see how much Premier are going to charge you for your winter lift. And you thought Peters were expensive /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I went up to the Office and queried (had a little moan about) the price hike. Seems a few people had beat me to it. May be worth popping in and letting them know you feel it's too expensive. Perhaps it might sway them to think again or at least offer some discount to berthholders.
I think I can have four to five goes on the sealift for the cost coming out at Chichester.
Phoned Port Solent yesterday and a winter lift is still sensible money. I can't understand why Chi needs to be so expensive.
Remember......they offer us three free boat movements per year, until it comes to a lift, when they want £70 just to take the boat to & from the crane, plus the exhorbitant cost of the lift itself.
If your a berthholder you don't need to worry about the boat movement. I phoned up and they confirmed that I can use one of my free valet moves. Not much help I guess if you've used them all up already!!
Well that's wiped the smile off my face for sure. I thought that the point of ending the Peters monopoly on cranage at Chichester was because berthholders were fed up with Peters' prices not to increase the price once Peters had ceased trading and Premier had control of both cranes.

In our most recent customer satisfaction survey (Dec 06) 95% of the berth holders surveyed at Chichester Marina said that the our customer service was excellent and 91% of them said they would recommend Premier to a friend. However some areas such as the boatyard facilities were highlighted as needing attention and you will be pleased to learn that as of Sept 2007 Premier will be running our own lift out facility at Chicheter Marina, just in time of the winter lay up.

I think "boatyard facilities were highlighted as needing attention" as in the survey meant they were too expensive so why are they making it even more so? Chi berth holders are a bit of a captive audience until someone takes over Peters boatyard.
Eh? Where else can you deposit money at 6pc ish with a HM Government guarantee? I have moved funds INTO Northern Rock today I'm expecting a bit more financial "bad news" in the next 3-4 weeks
I would have thought that premier will jump on the BA Peters shipyard prices and be charging the same no need to discount when they are the only set up around that area.
