My domestic battery bank needs replacement having had poor service from my Bosch batteries. The most common batteries in Turkey seem to be Mulu but identifying which ones are "deep cycle" is not obvious. If anyone has experience of these batteries and can offer assistance as to which ones would suit my purpose - I would welcome your advice.

Winter in Falmouth, summer on board Rampage.
Mutlu batteries (Mutlu means 'happy' by the way) were the main local suppliers when I was in Turkey. Their batteries were fitted to just about everything and seemed to be fine for most uses. I would think that they're probably fine for using as the domestic bank but can't guarantee that!

I posted a query re Mutlu batteries some time ago, without much success, but I did a bit of shopping around in Turkey last year,...as you say Mutlu seem to be everywhere and competitively priced, but it seems to be a bit vague as to their suitability for house batteries. The other make I came across regularly was Varta, whch again were reasonable.
I would imagine that you get what you pay for,the thicker the plates ,the more lead required, the higher the cost.
I am going to buy a couple of Mutlus this spring and will report on progress.
