Just before I forget, does anyone remember a while ago there was a boat in one of the mags (or maybe it was on here) where the owner had used about ten different strips of antifoul on the hull to see which performed best?

It's definitely been over a year, anyone got any idea what the results were? It's been bugging me for a few days! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It was in MBM, nearly a year ago. Wasn't that informative becuase it didn't have great pictures, nor the high tech softs like M66 imho. I think Uno came out well in the test

Its also an eroding paint so you don't get a huge build up of spent Anitfoul on the hull.
I'm still searching for an aluminium safe eroding antifoul for the legs and props

So no good pics available? Shame, I was quite interested to see the results, but thanks all for letting me know /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

a boater in bradwell marina is trying red oxide paint, says he tried it on a small part last year and was impresed, will see the results when he is lifted out in november if any good will post results, but im not holding my breath

Was M66 available in the UK in 2007? Not saying it wasn't, just not sure if it was.

Funnily enough, international don't seem to push it as an antifouling for our type of boats. Go into their site and use the "what antifouling should I use" table and it doesn't even come up.

Next time, we will have to look at including it, esp if it gets some good reports from forumites.
