My summer excursion has led me to Pompey - Royal Clarence marina at the moment but had a stroll further up to investigate Hardway Sailing Club. Seems to be a friendly lot with no pink trousers in sight and also a long pontoon extending out into the harbour with mooring alongside it settling into soft mud. It's like a home from home - my old boat will think he's back in the Medway.
