Hi Guys
Just brought the boat in from a trot mooring and the mooring warps are absolutely covered in mud and slime.
Whats the best way to get them clean, I do not think that SWMBO would be very happy if I just chucked them in the washing machine, they really stink.

would that be a 40 degree wash using a non bio power?

Seriously if you put ropes in the washing machine put them in an old pillow case first. stops them falling apart mid way.

Isn't that what the marina washing machines are for?

'Scuse my flippant reply earlier. Couldn't resist. Actually when I had same prob, i did as JohnWest and used the pressure washer with care. My ropes are white nylon and though there is still some colour deep in the fibres, the surface came up really well.

As with any domestic chores, give them to SWMBO. She can use her w/machine, laundrette, bath or even bang them on the rocks 'til her heart's content. All, you need to do is inspect the final work to ensure standards are maintained.

DUCK!!!!!!!!
