RIP
We departed Conwy at 18.30 BST, after indepth briefing from marina port control, who appears to be auditioning for the BBC news at ten. They have taken the gate off and there are divers down. First told we could go out 17.00 to 17.30, which became 18.45 to 19.15, reduced to 18.30 to, oh my gowd........
The maitainance before hand, was carried out, no expence spared. Two new oil coolers. Fly bridge warning lights repaired, up a point, but still got the trusty clocks down below.
The first leg was planned with presision, gate times, weather, fuel availability and range, there being no fuel avaiable in Conwy, due to the ongoing work. First a shake down cruise was done, around Conwy, just to make sure all the water and oil had found it's way round all the new orifices. Before heading off to our destination. where upon a warning sound is heard from below. Theres a buzzer going off, no lights to say why, and the other wise working water temp, on the port engine is dead. We limped to our first destination. Deganway, 50 yards from Conwy where we first started.
Stay tuned for the ongoing saga of M Farters world wide cruise to the IOM.
