Mucky Farter

Just come back from a reccie trip for some Tasmanians who are 'doing' the Three Peaks.
On our return from Caernarfon bar, one of the Tassies noticed , what He thought was a strange cloud formation
I tried to explain the 'MF' Syndrome.
I failed-- they thought I was avin em on!

First pictures

The smoke was minimal, as most of it was dispersed in the Straits.

The dinghy sailors were all over the place trying to dodge the smoke.

The approach run.

Could do with a bow thruster here.

I went out yesterday. What glorious weather.

Went right out into the Irish sea. Brought back a few mackerel.

On the way back I passed this chappie between Ronnies and Caernarfon. Is it C7 buoy?

As you can see he was going full chat with his heels well dug in.

It was the ebb tide and he was 200 metres on the wrong side of the buoy.

I trundled over to check, and the depth I got was 2 metres, with my half metre offset.

Would you be happy to cross a sandbank in that, at that speed?

Right out in the Irish Sea........ Jeeze Leave it out, thats only just past Pilots cove.

As for crossing the sandbank with only 2metres.... Oh Major dont ever go on the Medway, 2mts would be the best you could hope for :)

Talk to the weather Gods for me were coming down tomorrow .... Yipee ! :)

Between C7 and C10 this am on the way 'out' there was 6ft under us in the 'wrong' spot.
1 1/2 hours after low water
The spot just on yer starboard side just after C7 dries to 1.1m L.A.T

If He was there the God's Of Menai' must have been with Him!

The latest from Caernarfon Harbour Trust is that they are about to change the position of C1 and C2
At the mo you can go as close to C3 as you like, outward bound.
But don't stray to port on the way to C1.
Else yerl hit the putty
OK for shallow draft vessels 2 hours after low water
But if in a Yachttie whatsit an its a bit roughish like (thats a Nautical term by the way) I would not want to be there on Springs until 3 hours after

2mtrs, hmm, let me see, thats just over a couple of yards, err 6 feet so that's a fathom. Loads o' room, he'll have at least 3' under those props. Not many supermarket trollies out there so not much risk (ish). :D

The smogs cleared now and I've got a conection. Thats a first in PD.

Think the above picture is the **** that passed us, whilst on the Prince Maddogs jetty. He ripped MF's fair lead off.

MF dont need no bow thrutcher, she can wiggle her bottom in all by her self.

Yes, there was no smoke in the picture as I'd been told to switch the after burners off by the HM. He said he did not want the Marina setting on fire, Mind Little Ship got a bit scorched as we passed by. The AB's being in close down mode.
