Looking to change from the old chug along Colvic , to something a bit (lot!) more modern. Main use will be fishing down around west Wales (Colvic currently in Dale) , but swmbo thinks a nice cuddy/cabin with cushions and a place for a loo would be needed. Just a few criteria to make....must be able to trailer it for winter storage and maintenance, must be able to take the ground as we have a drying mooring and not too big...say 18ft ish max?
I keep seeing the pilot house types from Quicksilver, Jeaneau, Beneteau ect all coming in under budget (10K max), they all "look" the same design wise, but what is the groups experience with the various makes?
I quite like the idea of somewhere to sit out of the wind and rain and to brew a cuppa, so not really that fussed on an open boat...seems to be a few about on the usual sites, but will hanging on until the dark and wet of winter help price wise?
Many thanks
Jeff
