MS2B Gearbox and an MD11C Engine

Hi, I have a Volvo Penta MD11C engine will an MS2B gearbox fit it or will I have to use an MS2.

I believe it will fit
However, I also believe the reduction is different!
So depending on what craft you have, this may be the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I am new to boating so some of my qustion may seem stupid so please bear with me. What is the reduction? is that the gear ratio. The boat I have is a 20ft wooden motor boat, clinker I think. It was built in 1956 in Emsworth
