Mrs SV\'s bad hair day

Poor MrsSV.

I headed down to SV early on Saturday to get ready for a couple of days cruising. Mrs SV was to join me at lunchtime which was perfect timing for crossing the bar.

By 12:30 I had all the checks done, covers, fenders, springs and shore power stored, dinghy inflated, autopilot on, VHF on. Only needed to fire up the engines, release the bow and stern lines and we were away.

Sun was shining, wind had dropped, yes life was looking good then came the phone call.

It was MrsSV with good news....

Wait for it guys, it's good news....




" you won't believe it she says, but Shauna the hairdresser called and she has a cancellation "

She was absolutely thrilled. Jeez, you'd thing she had won the lottery. Anyway, I sad the usual wrong things , you know...

"we dont get weather like this every day, tides being right, forecast showing wind to keep dropping etc etc".

Anyway, being a man, I lost the "debate" and waited for a couple of hours, missed the clearance over the bar, re-secured the boat, covers, fenders, bla bla (you know the drill).

MrsSv arrived at 16:00 looking fabulous grrrrrrrrr.

" sorry hun but we still have tomorrow". she says.

Anyway, I chilled out and we settled into a nice evening at the marina.

Sunday dawned with slack winds and sea mist but with the promise that it would clear in the afternoon, we headed out and had a great day.

My wife normally has to remind me when she has had her hair done. I wouldn't notice otherwise.

was in the new swindlery on sat at lunchtime and seen sv11 from the boardwalk on the furthermost jetty from cruzzos........in fairness now you were fairly relaxed looking yourself!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

A little while later, Bill comes back into the shop, laughing hysterically.

The barber asks, "Bill, where did he go when he left here?"

Bill looks up, tears in his eyes and says, "Your house."

nevertheless Mrs SV is a stunner,she looks fabulous even with the wind blown hairdo,

I was going to ask if you had permission from Mrs SV to show those pictures, I would suspect you will get more than a cheeky cuff around the ear.

Mrs K was horrified and hoped i would never post pictures of her wind blown without her knowing. Of course not said I (just waiting for the right time).

But I have to concur that Mrs SV does look exceedingly well, even with a little wind in her hair!

Just to play safe , do you have a pic of her before the wind got to work on it ? if not , the new hairdo looks lovely dear , is a relatively safe response /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Looks fine to me anyway , and it's good to see she has a sense of humour , maybe she ought to join in on here , that's one thing we need more of /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
