Well having spent 4 days looking for a berth in the South of France ( E12,000 and no real security of a berth) I saw Deleted User mentioned in the Costs in the Med thread there were berths in Mallorca.
Scoty then left details of cosas de barcos website ( spanish site advertising berths etc) and E7000 later I have a berth in Club De Mar in Mallorca. Thanks also to Deleted User for giving me some first hand info by PM.
So thanks to the forum - we are off!
The boat is a Fairline Targa 40 based in La Rochelle. It is being collected by truck on the 16th July and E5500 later will arrive in Barcelona on the 19th. We will then take it to Palma by sea the following day.
Barcelona has several Marinas - does anyone know the best one to get it dropped off at? Asthetics done matter so much as we will only be there over night.
The boat is already fitted with Generator, AC etc and is Med Spec so the only thing i wll need is a passerell - or a ladder with some ply on it if I am feeling mean. Anyone selling?!
My berth in La Rochelle is E3300 per annum on perm contract in the inner most locked basin right in the middle of town. I will give notice in a few days, but happy to do an unoffical deal with anyone if they want it. La Rochelle is loveley - simply after 6 years we are ready to move on. They know me, so if it has a mast they will small a rat! The berth is offically 10m with a 12m boat on it and that is as long as they will allow.
