Two or three months ago I sought advice on here as we were thinking very seriously about buying a yacht this time round as we ultimately see ourselves sailing somewhere warm when we finally pack up work. We have had motorboats for years but have also sailed when we can.
We have now decided that we are going to buy another motorboat but one less expensive and smaller than our last one so that we can also do some yacht charters abroad as well as join a local club with access to a yacht on the coast. This will enable us to gain more sailing experience as well as (hopefully) trying one or two different makes/models of yacht before we finally settle on what we think is right for us.
I received some very helpful replies to my posts on here so I just wanted to say thank you and your collective knowledge will not be wasted as it will inform our charter choices and the longer term search for the right yacht.
