Hi,
A long shot I know, but....
At the end of the month or therabouts I am moving Arida from Emsworth Pool to Hillhead (Titchfield Haven, near Lee on Solent). I also have a large rigid tender which I need to move. The tender is a good quality dual-skinned afair but is in fairly poor condition and has a fair amount of water between the skins. It is therefore probably not seaworthy enough to tow all the way to Hillhead and this would be a major PITA anyway for a small boat like Arida.
Originally the tender was cartopped on an old BMW estate, but frankly it was too heavy then (when completely dry) and now with all the water it has taken on it would be hell to get up there and would risk pulling the roof bars off on the motorway. So really I am looking for some other way to move it. The loan of a dinghy trailer would be ideal as I have a towbar/light board for my car. But otherwise maybe someone with a large van or flatbed lorry could help, particularly if they are already making the journey or some major part of it- the actual date is pretty flexible and I could be available at both ends to load and unload.
Obviously all costs covered and eternal gratitude offered. Alternatively, if you have any other thoughts on how I might move then please let me know.
Oh, almost forgot. Tender is 2.58M long and 1.4M beam.
