Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Here is a video of my new boat undergoing a boat test in the USA, just hit the video button on the top right of the page. It will show you the test driver driving it along, then commentating as he takes you inside the cockpit and filming in the cabin.

Still pictures Here /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So what do you think? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

What was the question you raised about the swim ladder all about. Seemed to be very accessable.

I would give the steam room as miss.

A very nice boat, but do you get the satellite radio and oll the sound stuff?

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

I chose not to have the swim platform on my boat with the blue hull because it looks like a stuck on tea tray, all IMHO of course. The other problem is that if you get tangled in a lobster pot line you are stuffed as you cannot get access to the props to clear it, this came out in my risk assessment as a result of witnessing a certain forum member with such a problem, luckily I was following him /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It can always be added later and I don't want to be smashing it up whilst doing circles in Chatham lock either /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I examined the platform on the boat that was on the hard, the one with swmbo's car pictured in front of it, after viewing that it confirmed my decision.

So the ladder is now on the integral bathing platform with the clips to hold it down at the transom end of it, so very difficult to get to.

I may change my mind, I will just try it and see, once fitted you have dozens of holes in the boat so, better to add than try and remove later /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I hope that helps you, re the radio YES

The UK sole importer can be found Here

It gives the price of the boats, I had the Cabrio 220 before with a Volvo 5.0gxi DP which was a smashing boat. I have got a Mercruiser 5.0mpi with BIII on the new Cabrio 240, I also took all the options except the bathing platform and £7k generator /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Should I go for the Cabrio 370 next? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yes, It fits in with your bi-annual growth target.

As to the ladder, I see your problem now, it is as you first described it.

The only way to make sure you can get on board by yourself is to have a hand and foothold. As I said, a rope with a loop that can be deployed with sharp tug.

Failing that, always tow your tender.

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

Errm no generator, ok £7K does sound a lot to run a toaster, but hey how will you manage, or are you going to run the toaster as you did before (for those that missed it !)

Why show that /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Someone must have taken that photo while I was onboard buttering the first two slices /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif You realise that everyone will want one now /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yes that cost me £799 or so (I can assure you that the full financial figures will be in swmbo's comprehensive report /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif), a lot cheaper than £7k /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It really amazes me what could be hidden in these forum archives, how about we hold a truce and all start again from tomorrow? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

naaah no truce, its war /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I would not want to be the person taking that generator plug out on a very unstable finger pontoon, bounce, bounce gone !!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That must be me. Right b'stard that lobster pot, sneaky little beggar too. Must get one of those nice big knife thingy's you've got before the government bans the sale of them to under 80's.

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

Yes Geoff, I was staying silent /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif but you did stop quite suddenly, just as well I have good brakes /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

I must be missing something, but it doesn't seem to have any sails on it, I can't even see a mast. How does it work?

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

love the entertainment package and the microwave will be very usefull. looking forward to testing the coffee maker too.

btw don't you think you were a bit 'off' raising the issue of 'range' given that they actually quote the damm thing for your exact set up on this link anyway!!! Glad they came up with the same number my poor Mountgay befuddled brain came up with.

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

Err..No, the boat in the film has the 350 mag engine if you look carefully, I have the 260bhp 5.0mpi with BIII so I don't know what the difference will be in my fuel consumption. And another thing I only just found the site by trying a different search in MSN, it's quite amazing how different search engines find different things /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Are you coming Sat or not, and do you know a good BBQ butcher? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Movie of GC1\'s new boat :-)

I would bet on the same range

Dont know yet depends............

prepacked quality sausages are hard to beat - great tastes and can be frozen easily if you dont use them all - get nice rolls and mustard/ketchup too and you are done for winter BBQ
