Hello looking for reconditions regarding moorings around the river 7 area/ Bristol area
We are currently in Ipswich haven marina but looking to move end of year. We have a princess 330 so like to go coastal regularly but some new rivers and estuary is also nice. Have looked at portishead but a bit too far to drive on a Friday night from Sheffield currently we have a 3:30hr drive so would want it to be no further also looking for about the same charges £3500 per year
Any suggestions please

Portishead should fit the bill, other than that you'll be more inland.
Sharpness, Gloucester, Saul Junction, Upton, Tewkesbury or Worcester

We used portishead, if your fine with having to work to a lock schedule it might work. I find it way over developed sadly and the parking very poor if you don't have a pass. I'm biased, we came in before the new eyesores, I mean modern trendy flats were erected in their turgid glory. It was nicer, more communal then I felt.

Got a good pub mind and some decent restaurants on the high street, plus a Lidl, waitrose and other shops five minutes walk if that.

I'm pretty sure your very very tide restricted at Sharpness.Try looking 1mile SW across the water at Lydney.I don't know much about their either though. You say about travelling time, but for the extra 40mins to Cardiff at least you can go in/out whenever you want and even if the weather is rubbish Cardiff bay has lots to offer.

Sharpness IS very restricted. I'm not sure of the details but probably something like 1 hour either side of high water. Lydney is even more limited; 20 or 30 minutes before HW until HW. Both are a bit buttock-clinching on the way in or out: fun to do it once or twice a year, but perhaps less so if it's every weekend.

Although I am in Portishead, I can see the advantages of Cardiff for the OP.
