I'm going to be fitting a Victron Phoenix Smart charger soon, and the instructions say it can't be mounted on combustible material - I understand why they say this, because the heatsink is the fixing point. The trouble is I only have an internal plywood bulkhead to mount on, so I was wondering what other people had done in this situation? Is it really a risk?

I doubt it, but to show good intent why not screw a small piece of cement board on to the bulkhead and then fix it to that?

It will be absolutely fine.

Mine is screwed to some wood inside a (ventilated) locker. I read what I thought were the important bits of the manual 😆
No problems at all, other than wishing I’d bought the 50A version instead of the 30A!
