Hi,

I just bought Aqua Signal Series 34 LED Bicolour and Stern nav lights and need some way to fix them to the pulpit and pushpit respectively. The bicolour light needs a horizontal plane to mount to and the Stern light needs a vertical plane to mount to. Both are secured by 4mm (ish) fixing screws 49mm (ish) apart.

Any pointers to 1" rail clamps that provide a suitably meaty surface to drill and screw through would be much appreciated, or other ideas about how they are normally fixed...

Thanks,

Boo2

Theres no mention of any mounting brackets for these lights in te Aquasignal catalogue AFAICS. I reckon its a case of make your own.

maybe adapt the bracket for a series 41 but it does not look a though it will be satisfactory (even for series 41!)

weld an s/s plate on the pulpit & through bolt would be my suggestion

I made a teak clamp for the bicolour on my previous boat - a stout piece of teak with a 1" diameter hole drilled and then split with a saw on the centreline and then screwed together with 2 stainless self tapping screws. A vertical piece of wood was added to screw the lamp in position.

AS makes a ss mount that west marine here in usa, but it sells for about 3x the cost of light....not a good dollar value, i need one also, but not at that price.

To the OP just be careful to fit the bow light as far as possible away from the front and sides of the pulpit to avoid damge from collision with jetties boats etc. All too likely in my experience. good luck olewill
