motorboat for Med Sea

Can anyone suggest a motor boat (outboard), used, about GBP12000 for use on the Med? The Hardy has too small a cockpit and too large a cabin, the Orkney Day Angler doesn´t have room for a loo or hob. We want to fish, swim, cook and have fun. Shelter isn´t an issue. Would collect from UK if needed. Any pointers? Thank you

If I were you I'd get a cheap flight out to the Med and start to look around the yards. Try and increase your budget and look at some of the European makes eg Cranchi, Chris Craft (US I believe, but loads in the Med) etc etc. Really for the Med as big as you can get because it often blows 3-4 in the middle of the day in summer and in a 20 footer, thats a bit uncomfortable. 30 foot upwards would be my suggestion.
My advice comes from lots of towing down to the Med with a 19 footer, 24 footer and now with a 37 footer permanently there.
For the age of boat you're looking at you must get a hull survey at least.
best of luck
