4 pals and I are planning a trip to sail the Adriatic Sea and Croatian coast in June maybe 4 or 5 days on a charter yacht with a captain/crew.
Can anyone make any recommendations on a charter company and the size of boat for 5 men, and what we can expect to pay?
Thanks

There is an article in this months MBM cruising islands near Croatia. Does not mention charter companies but mentions that moorings/food etc now very expensive. If you Google Croatia Charter you will find a number of options.

I am sorry to say, but the artikle in MBM isn't of any use,
although this area is probably the nicest and most interesting on Croatian coats, they forgot to mention about some "musts" over there, such as:
- old town Korcula on the island Korcula
- Bol on the island Brac
- Ston on Peljesac
- Island Jakljan
- the elafiti islands,
- Island Hvar is on the top 10 list of the most beautifull islands worldwide
- and some more if you like
and if you are down there you shouldn't miss Dubrovnic.

That article is mainly moaning about costs and expenses,
There is no area in the med where you have so many and nice FOC anchoring places in bay's, well protected from the elements

If you charter with shipper, they will probably bring you to the most interesting places, but they will also bring you to marina's and private moorings at restaurants where they have comission....

I have been there the last 5 years, so know the area quite well.

enjoy !

For that coast and such a short vacation do a one-way, I mean don't agree to pick up/return boat to same port.

You'd be better in a sailboat. Prevailing is NW so sail southwards, eg join the boat in Split and hand it back in Dubrovnic. Bart's list of places (50% of which I've been to) looks excellent. Dubrovnic is an excellent place to end - wonderful city and night life before you fly home
