I'm trying to connect my throttle cables on the new engines.

Lever on fuel injection pump in rest position is idle? Correct?

Morse cable when I operate the lever goes the wrong way, ie, it needs to push the lever on the pump f'rd, but comes aft when I operate the control on the dash.

I think this means I need to dismantle the morse control and feed the throttle cable into the otherside of the fulcrum? Correct?

Yes that's how to do it.make sure you tighten up the screws that hold the outer cable.I didn't once with almost disastrous circumstances

Morse Control Confusion

Thanks muchly.

Ug. I didn't really want to pull all that apart. Hey ho.

Hi Ben, not as daunting as you may think, re-routing the cable is probably the most difficult bit. Once the Morse is split, if you crank the lever a few times I expect you will find it fairly obvious what to change. Just dont drop the screws.
Good luck. P

It was a new stainless steel morse last year, so I'm fairly well acquainted with it.

As a bonus I found the new stickers that show neutral and the gear directions, once all sorted I can pop those on.
