The markings say that the throttle cable is 5.25m and the gear cable is 5.75m ...
I've just ordered from ASAP:
Part Number: 610616 330X SUPERIOR CABLE 04.75MTR LONG 1 £30.29
Part Number: 610618 330X SUPERIOR CABLE 05.25MTR LONG 1 £31.64
Just a heads-up to say that the new (shorter) cables fitted my Bavaria 47 perfectly; I now have a pair of cables running parallel in my sugar-scoop, rather than the long one going
"round the houses".
Is my suggestion about tight bends incorrect? I always try to get the biggest radius possible, if necessary buying longer cables.
Yes it increases the scrub load as the wider the bend the longer the inner drags
Cables runs ideally should have long straights and bends of approx 9" radius and should not be clipped under trays but on top.
At present they cross the space in a semi-circle, about 1m diameter. Should I clip them back to give "bend, straight, bend"?
