I’m afraid I don’t have a picture….

At the head of my mainsail the halyard attaches through a triangular aluminium plate which is riveted through the sail itself. Some of the rivets have corroded and come loose and need replacing to extend the life of the sail.

I say rivet, but not in a pop rivet sense. They are hollow flanged jobs that I can’t seem to find. Does anyone know of a source or name for these little beggars?

Thanks

Dan

Perhaps some stainless nuts and bolts would be a temporary solution - cut the unused threaded portions off flush with the nut so that there are no sharp edges to damage the sail when furled.

Agreed but not temporary and bash the ends of the screws over to stop them undoing. ol'will
