Morlaix HELP!

We've just arrived in Morlaix- well, not quite as anchored off...
the boat we are cruising in company with had a prop disaster en route.

We've been limping along with him under sail (the only benefit being sighting of whales whilst heaved to trying to rig up a towing bridle)

The prop has sheared off just near the gear box - not sure why.. but clearly will need drastic attention.

Anyone know good people in near/Morlaix to help out?

Yes, we will look there, but wondered if anyone had more specific local knowledge.

May need some help myself - engine overheated trying to tow him - ooops....

I take it from your post that John's prop shaft has sheared. Is it the coupling that has failed?
Will do some investigating regarding nearby help.

apparently its the coupling/shaft from the gear box that has sheared...

You should be able to get all the help you need there, have a look at the marina info best of luck getting sorted. I am sure someone else will have more detailed info but 'tis all I can find at the moment.
