We crossed to France from Plymouth on good Friday to Roscoff. A lovely but fast passage and an easy entrance to Roscoff Marina at night.

Anyway the winds are hammering from the SSW and although Roscoff is nice we fancy a change from 37 euros a night.

We draw 2m and it looks tight to get up there. Has anyone been up there drawing 2m? There will be about 9m of tide tonight but going towards neaps and certainly down want to get stuck up there.

Yes, I've been to Morlaix several times with a 2m draft, always on a rising tide.

This may be too late.
However. I am sure there is plenty of water but go on a rising tide so you can get off easily. There are a few tongues of mud that local boats tend to dodge, in the final reaches.
Morlaix is excellent but you may find a bit of traffic noise in the marina. So on the port side go bow in.

As has been said, 2m draft fine. Handy transit marks in place in upper reaches. Just line ‘em up & you’ll be fine in the bends. On the concern of being ‘neaped,’ once in, main issue is that lock only operates in daylight hours. So you can end up waiting for a suitable high water time to leave on. Although anchorage at Pen Lan makes a handy stopover if you want to drop downriver and then wait for daylight / a full tide before leaving the estuary.
