A few years ago I did a Day Skipper course with Southern Sailing school in Southampton, and we sailed on a Morgan Giles 30 for a week. It was a very nice yacht which sailed really well and I found I could do all sorts of things. It was called Launcelot or something similar. Maybe they still have it or someone remembers it? Perhaps they could help you.
