More PC's to give away

Following hot on the success of my Netbook donation (Lady in Bed is up and running, I believe), I would like to pass on some more Microsoft stuff.

This is a job lot! Two Dell Inspiron 2200 Laptops

The first has Windows XP Pro, 1.4GHz chip, 500mg RAM, 55GB hard disk. It has one of the hinge covers missing (see photo) and the left click on the track pad doesnt seems to work, although it works fine with an external mouse. Battery is not good at all, but works fine plugged in. Having said that, it actually runs very well. Its used but not dirty or trashed or anything.

The second is the same computer, but with XP home, 1.2GB RAM and a 36gb hard disk. It is a bit smarter than the first, the battery lasts a little and it has no known problems.

My feeling is that for someone good with Windows laptops they would be great for a boat. Keep one for spares!

I am too lazy to uninstall, so Microsoft 2000 is included. Not the latest of course, but I preferred it so didn't upgrade.

To answer the questions.
Both laptops have working built in wifi.
The screens are fine with no scratched or dead areas.

Having said that, I hope I wasn't unclear. You must post offers of donations on this site so everyone can see them. I am just trying to get a little money for the RNLI. I will pass the laptops to the highest donation offer made as a public post. I don't want it to be a secret auction thing.

Actually, your post is officially timed at 2130 so I guess that makes you the owner of two laptops.

I have used the (free) file eraser at http://eraser.heidi.ie/ to clean up the drive on an old laptop. Seems to do a good job.
