Sorry to post this here, not sure what section this would go under.

So, does anyone here play games online? If so, which ones!?

My favorite is a modification to Battlefield 1942 called Desert Combat, a truly fantastic game.

I have also in the past played Tac Ops, Age of Empires II and Unreal Tournament.

The home games I quite enjoy are FS2004 and Soldier of Fortune.

Very sad I know, but hey, with a large glass of wine it is a great escape from reality for while..... /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

If any of you do play the above, we must meet up somewhere for a fight to the death, to all those that think this is terribly sad, please exit this post immediately./forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I Like Red Alert 2 (still play loads) and C & C style games, I have Emperor - Battle for dune (and C & C generals, uses the same rendering engine) but i think
Red Alert 2 is far more playable and fun!

i also still play Quake 3 Arena if i have some stress!

I pressume your platform is PC?

Now here is a thread that the old skool will complain about! LOL

I don't play them but a couple of yers ago I was involved (as part of Cable & Wireless) in the set up of an Internet games company called "Netgames". We hosted a shed load of servers in one of our data centres and beefed up a load of Internet transit points in the UK so that when people dialled in they got a truly awsome gaming experience. No delay, no jitter, just pure fun!

Sadly, the two directors of Netgames p!ssed off with the company funds leaving the employees with nothing - not even the pay they were owed.

OK, so that's you lined up, but what do the kids do to occupy themselves while you're hogging the DVD and telly and computer?

Dave,

i have heard that Call of Duty is excellent, unfortunately my PC's are a little behind spec at the moment. I am going to build a machine of complete awesomeness!!!! Then Call of Duty will be purchased!!!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I would like to see that. Is it noisey?

I am thinking of building my own PC and everyone says that AMD is the way, especially for gaming. My only concerns is the cooling of it. Is it Artic Silver that is supposed to be the best.
