Moral Dilema

First come, first served. Take no notice how nice they seem. Just make sure the cash is in your bank before you part with the boat,

Spot on Haydn. I sell for a living and get time wasters every week. Had a couple call me no less than five times over the past few days, desperate to buy what i was selling. Never did turn up. Happens all the time.

The family turn up and say they don't like it, or don't turn up at all. You phone 2nd guy and he's got fixed up elsewhere. Six months time, you still have the boat.

Don't try to be Mr nice guy, or "old school". Tell Mr £8,750 he can have it for £9k, if you have the money by Thursday, otherwise you'll give the family first refusal. If not, let the family look at the boat but tell them you have another buyer who will give you £9k, and that's the least you'll take from them.

You don't need to rob anyone, but you don't want to rob yourself either.
