Moorings

Unfortunatly I've been let down with a mooring and am now in the very dodgy situation of only having somewhere for my boat to live until the begining of April. Does anybody know of any mooring in the Plymouth area that may still be available for a 24ft long keel needing 3'6" draft, or where there may be a temporary mooring I can use while I'm looking for something permanent.

Try all the local yacht clubs. Cargreen, Tamar River, Saltash, Weir Quay, etc. Usual principles - the further up river and less accessible, the cheaper the mooring.

River Cattewater etc after that. You might be lucky.

Try Yacht Haven

They have a waiting list but it changes all the time... failing that what about right up river - Lynher boatyard at Polbathic, dying against the wall? Shore store also worth a try.

you will probably be able to get a drying berth at the multihull centre at millbrook. i draw 1m and get in and out HW+/-2.

Try Torpoint Marina - they have a number of moorings off there near the chain ferry. 01752 813658

Weir Quay number 01822-840474. Nice people, lovely place, not expensive. I'm sure they've got room. Max draft is six feet.
