I've got a small sailing cruiser 20", Shes a fin keel and draws about 4".
I live in the midlands area and have moored her on windermere up and till recently.
I would like to go to the coast but am unsure wheres best?
I can't spend a fortune perhaps a swinging mooring somewhere

Any ideas, Please help!

Try Knott End at Fleetwood or Wardleys creek a bit further up the river Wyre. it will be about an hour less to drive. The biggest problem will be that you will have a sod of a job to fit in some sailing around the tide times and heights. Windermere of course is so convenient in that you can sail at any time you choose. Have you thought of a change of Lake? Ullswater is good for Motorway access and is a beautiful lake to sail on.
I think Wardleys Yacht Club may have an internet site. If not PM me and I'll sort out a contact

HAve you thought of trying Whitehaven?. Good access at most states of tide via a Lock. Cost approx £100 per mtr plus vat, probably less than you were paying at Windermere. Pity about your fin keel, mooring is free at Ravenglass!
