Mooring off Rhoose

Missed the window of tides a few days ago to lay a mooring buoy off Rhoose but if i aquire some chain it will be done soon.There is a huge anchor out there but only exposed on mega spring tides.....i was hoping to use that.
When it is in place well worth stopping and trying one of the restaurants a short walk away and you can keep an eye on the boat from your table.Also swimming pool, great chip shop,great chinese and indian restaurants (book first)

Whereabouts off Rhoose. I've sailed past there often enopugh asnd never noticed anywhere I would want to go ashore.

Aberthaw Beach, or Fontgary, whence a private path leads to the fleshpots of Rhoose !

Fontygary bay.On the map above , the hexagnal building to the north is the raj kinara indian restaurant, next door is a chinky and in the main bit is bar,gym,swimming pool etc

Can confirm the indian to be worthy of a visit! Though I think you'd want to choose a very settled day as any mooring wouldn't be that sheltered. Would offer a great opportunity for crew changes for me though with my home being nearby!

Only concern i have is what to do with tender if going ashore.

If going into the indian you could just tie it to the rail outside and leave it on the lawn, they have a guy who stays by the door to open it for you so it would be safe.
