Does anyone have any ideas about mooring options for a 42 foot monohull in the South West of England? Hopefully we will be allocated one by Dartmouth Harbour in a year or two but need options in the meantime. I have emailed Saltach and Cargreen yacht clubs but suspect that the size might be an issue.

A small, boatyard type pontoon with electric would be ideal but trot or swing also an option. The budget does not run to large commercial chain type marinas.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dolphin Haven is a new marina up the Dart at Galmpton Creek and is about half the cost of Darthaven or Knoss Marina. It is still having the shore facilities upgraded so still a budget option and the pontoons, shore and water are good. It does dry to soft mud and there are a number of long keelers there. A very pleasant spot to moor and the staff are pleasant to deal with.
