We're going on a little overnighter down to Henley tomorrow. I've only ever passed through in previous outings. Am I right in thinking Mill meadows is the only place to stop for a night? Will it be hectic there this time of year? (which I fully expect!) I'm in a 28ftr so nothing big mooring wise

I planned a day down to cookham last Saturday with friends. Spent 1hr 30 at bray lock which was manned. Sheer volume of hire boats was the main issue, and we ended up stopping at boulters for a few cold ones in the end! Hopefully it's a bit quieter tomorrow

Mooring in Henley outside of regatta and festival is great, no shortage of moorings above or below the bridge. You have the choice of below Henley bridge, either side of the river, just watch the signs that advise when mooring is ok. Payment collected by Hobbs in a boat or online on Hobbs Henley website. Above the bridge, Mill meadows payable online, check the notice boards for details.

Heading back down today from Henley to Shepperton and then out at Teddington.
Did end up on the tail end of two ques on way up to Henley.
The moorings in meadows below Henley are shallow to say the least. 😱

travelling up through Henley today, town moorings above Henley bridge were busy but several moorings available. Moored at Sonning, very busy above the lock, really quiet below the lock. Seems more direct enforcement signs around the old Uri Geller moorings, £10 per night online.
