Mooring in christchurch

I was in christchurch last year but borrowing someones mooring at Elkins.Trouble is we cant go back this year and we are gutted.
Anyone out there know how we can get a mooring in christchurch for a 40 ft boat. I tried the 2 main yards. dont know if I can stand being in a car park!Any ideas? help.

......or is there anywhere similar about the place ,with bank or pontoon mooring?

You're stuffed, Andy. We were in Christchurch for years and loved it, but it's way too shallow. The only moorings are Rossiters and Elkins - anything else will be too small for you, I'm afraid.

Rossiters are a very friendly yard, if you go on their waiting list you might not have to wait too long.
Other than that Bournemouth & West Hampshire water administer the river moorings or trots. You could contact them at customerservice@bwhwater.co.uk. They probably also have a waiting list. Not nearly as convenient as bank or pontoon, but much cheaper.
