Can anyone advise me what the current costs, if any, are likely to be in Greece for mooring in harbours, large and small.
I have not been there for 2 years and as we will be cruising the Ionian for 4 months this year, fees will make a difference.
Thanks in advance.

Nothing significant.

Even Gaios on Paxos seems to have given up trying to collect this year so far. They had the differential charging system - x for greek boats 2x foe EU boats 4x for others- x=€6 or thereabouts.

Marinas are a different matter see this site for details.

Places controlled by Port Police charge only a couple of Euros if that. It takes a long time to fill in the paperwork for so little it seems.

Simi. 98 cents for a 10m boat per day.

Have price lists fpr Kos and Port Lakki marinas if anyone is interested.

11 Euros for 10.5m in Ay-Ephimia on Cephalonia in May this year. Its the only the second place in the Ionian that I've been charged. The other was Gaios, Paxos last October when we were one of only two boats in the harbour !

We were in Ionian last month and visited almost all the usual places.As\Affinite says, the only place we were asked for fees was Aya Euphemia. We stayed for nigt on May15 and the cost was 14 E ,this included elctricity. We revisited on May 23 and was asked again..went like this...Official... "Length of boat Please.... Me "ten point five four meters"...Official "OK Today it is only 8 meters" Me"Thank you" So cost for 2 nights was 23 E.Including Electricity. So as you can see it is a bit arbitrary. We were not asked for fees anywhere else, however as I wanted to get some stamps on the cruising document,we checked in to the port police in Argostoli..20E for 2 nights and Poros...8 E for 1 night.
The port police in Fiscardo were going around looking for cash when we arrived however the place was so smelly and busy that we did a uey and left. In Levkas town you will probably be left a note at your boat asking you to bring your docs. to the office ,however if your stay is less than 24 hours, even including an overnighter, there is no charge.
By far our biggest outlay during the trip was food and drink, but we did tend to eat out a lot,but generally it is still refreshingly much cheaper than the UK. Have a good trip..will look out for you in the autumn.

Heikelese spoken here it seems!

Since the place is called Agios (Saint) Eufemia I can only deduce that the original mis-transliteration of the Greek gamma, which looks like a "y" has become perpetuated by RH's excessive use of it in his otherwise excellent guides.

Ag. Eufemia IS becoming one of the dearest places to moor in the Ionian. As to Gaios, as I have already said, we havn't been charged there at all yet this year.

Just back from spending 3 weeks in the Ionian: Preveza Port Policeman said " I want to see eeeeverything!" so we showed him eeeeverything- we even carry spare photocopies of insurance cover letters, passports, crewlists etc, so they don't even have to get out of their office chairs to go to the photocopier- he flicked through our file of dcuments, then went back to his café frappé without taking a cent off us...
Poros, on Kefalonia: Mr Port Policeman came along the quay, told every boat to be at the port police office with their documents at 7.30pm, apparently; I say apparently, because I only heard this second-hand, as I was asleep in the cockpit at the time and he didn't want to wake me up... we even stayed a second night, but he must have got his quota the day before, so again, not a cent was spent on fees...
So I guess "arbitrary, hit-and-miss, inconsistent" just about sums up the situation!
