Years ago there used to be a large buoy at the eastern end of flathom you could hook up to for a few hours.
I know of a few racing marks off Barry and Penarth that if you moor up to the commodore's of said clubs get very up set about ;-)
Does the forum know of any good, free mooring buoys around the Bristol Channel that aren't marked that are useful and won't interfere with the racing fraternity?
There was a posting on hear a while ago about someone planning to put one in off Porthkerry. Did that ever happen?
