Now that the most famous spoon bender in the world has moved on whats the situation regarding the moorings at his old place?

Anybody else think what a selfish prat Geller was; completely changed the look of the river as you approach from downstream then buggered off back to his homeland.

There have been for a while long term moorings outside his house! I want to know if you can still moor there overnight

If you are a member of a Yacht Club go through Sonning Lock, immediately out of Lock Cut turn to Starboard, travel up for a hundred yards or so and you will find splendid moorings with water and electricity right outside the Club House of the Upper Thames Motor Yacht Club.

They are fine moorings and very handy but I do believe UTMYC prefer you to book them in advance, rather than just turn up unannounced.

*Note to most Thames boaters. this means Turn Right. :):):)

If following EA harbour masters instructions they would head towards the right bank, however if traditional guide book readers they would turn towards the left bank. Seamen go starboard, isn't that clear?

You can see why we have lot of arguments on the Thames :D

We categorically do not have arguments on the Thames - we have "lively" discussions ! :D :D :D
