Hi Folks

We have some friends down on Sunday so we're taking them for a potter on the river then we've booked afternoon tea at Oakley Court. When I reserved a mooring with the concierge I asked about the depth... he told me "5 meters".. ha! not likely!!!

So, question is.. how much depth is there alongside? Enough for 'drives-up' mooring, or should I use their deeper water mooring - described as "we have a wooden plank" (any other clues as to what this 'plank' is would be really helpful)

Cheers
Mark

Hopefully someone else will advise you with accuracy - but I do know that it's pretty shallow along there and I very much doubt that you will get alongside.

Not sure about the 'plank' - is that at the upstream end by the boat house.

You could always go back to the marina and take the car down :)

Moored up there for lunch a few weeks back with no problems (3ft dr).
Suggest keep away from the downstream area - that seems a bit shallow.

I Know that Fringilla, the hire boat moors there often> As a timber classic she must draw 3Ft. If you raise the outdrives you should be fine. (go in bow first and pull the stern in from shore just to be sure)
