It you're talking of the town moorings, then we have often rafted there when we have club get togethers and never been told its not allowed when paying. Same deal on the islands at the lock but can't say for the moorings in the meadow.

That was a myth several years ago, I do believe Colin Rennie with his ATYC hat on got it resolved and used to carry a letter from the EA to that effect.
We have rafted on both the town and meadow moorings - it's not deep enough on the meadow otherwise!
