I've just bought my first boat, a Richmond Marine Skipper 17. I'll be keeping her mainly on a local lake and need to set up a swinging mooring. I've looked at Mushroom anchors (on Ebay) and have also considered filling a tyre with concrete. I would appreciate some advice on the weight of 'anchor' needed and the gauge of mooring chain.
