MoorFast - self threading boathook

I purchased this gizmo at London Boat Show. Should enable threading of line through buoy-ring at arms length. On second use I found plastic warped so that the guide would not re-engage. Phone number on gadget 'unobtainable'. Anyone had similar problem?

I've got one of them - it's called a SwifTie-Matic. Had it since about 1980. It still works fine! Maybe they don't make them like they used to!

I had one which broke on the first use. OK if you only use whipping twine for mooring. Still looking for the stainless version!
