moody owners in mediterranean sea

Hi all,

Thinking of renting a boat in the mediterranean in summer 2012.
Since I am a M31 owner in the netherlands I was wondering if there is a Moody owner who wants to rent their boat to a another moody owner.

Even there is a possibility from my site to exchange the boat if you like to sail in the netherlands.

I know it is always difficult cause you never know who you will get at your precious boat and that's the reason i am only looking for moody owners (assuming that they take more care of their boats).

Think you will find that is illegal in most countries if money changes hands! Chartering is regulated in most countries.

Very few Moodys used for charter - even in their heyday. More modern boats are much more suitable for the job, although many people have the older centre cockpit Moodys as liveaboards.

This is an interesting idea, especially if it was a boat swop so no money changed hands. Similar things happen with home swops, a good way to see another part of the world cost effectively.
You would need to sort out insurance, which should not be a great problem. Suspect bigger problem is that many owners would be cautious about letting their pride and joy be used by a stranger for a couple of weeks.
